Ketua DPRD Pastikan APBD 2026 Fokus pada Layanan Publik dan Infrastruktur

Khoirudin Ensures 2026 Regional Budget Focuses on Public Services and Infrastructure

Jakarta City Council ensures the 2026 Regional Budget is focused on increasing public services and infrastructure development.

We can achieve it together

It was emphasized by Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin after signing the memorandum of understanding of Draft Regional Budget and Budget Implementation Plan (KUA-PPAS) of the Jakarta Regional Budget for the 2026 Fiscal Year, at City Hall Building, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (8/13).

"Each commission must be on track to achieve local government targets," he emphasized.

Khoirudin said that in the fire prevention sector, the city council is pushing for an additional budget for the Fire Handling and Rescue Agency, not only for handling but also for prevention through the formation of Volunteer Firefighters (Redkar) at the community level.

For the transportation sector, he ensured that the Public Service Obligation (PSO) budget is sufficient to support the operations of the MRT, LRT, Transjakarta, and Jaklingko services.

"Transportation is a major expense for the community. We ensure the budget is sufficient to keep services affordable," he said.

In the financial sector, the city council encouraged the importance of tax intensification and extensification, including the settlement of arrears. Furthermore, the utilization of regional assets is also a focus, with the establishment of a Special Committee for Regional Property (Pansus BMD) to record and optimize assets that have not yet handed over by developers to the Jakarta Provincial Government.

Khoirudin also emphasized expediting flood management, one of which is through the normalization of the Ciliwung River, which still has approximately 11 kilometers of drainage remaining. A compensation budget has been allocated for affected residents to ensure the smooth normalization process.

In the education sector, the city council will ensure that the free school program, the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) Plus, and the Jakarta Superior Student Card (KJMU) are on target.

"We will evaluate it if there is any misuse," he added.

For health services, the construction of new community health centers and hospitals, including an international-standard hospital in Cakung, is expected to strengthen access to health care for residents.

Khoirudin assessed that synergy between the legislative and executive can realize Jakarta's slogan as a cultured global city.

"We can achieve it together," he stated.
